The Cleopatra Ring I
Ancient Egyptians called Peridot the Gem of the Sun and searched for it under the moonlight believing it easier to see when allowed to radiate its own light. For this reason and it's stunning green color, it was often favored by Cleopatra and has been associated with her ever since. This beautiful light green stone is said to be a lucky stone given its tranquil yet plucky green color. It was introduced in America as the official birthstone for the month of August in 1912, and also traditionally given on the 16th wedding anniversary.
